He took this from my idea I did on my formula a few years ago, it's so you can plug the vacuum ports on the side of the intake and run all the vacuum lines(including the map) at the rear of the car so it's much CLEANER looking than having vacuum lines ran off the side of the intake.

Look at this, tell me it's not sick. Again, the IM is not finished. Also, I didn't polish them because I'm not that big on polish and bling everywhere. Only subtle polished stuff here and there.

2-wtf are there 3 vac. ports in the back of the intake for??

Plugged up the two on the passenger side and one on the driver. Deleting evap so I don't need it on the left. Moved to back that'll serve the relocated MAP sensor, it will no longer be in the stock spot. The two on the passenger side go to the back, they lead to the HVAC and the fuel pressure regulator.

3-can we get a close up pic of where you deleted your fuel lines and made the block off plate?

Inside of wheel well view

Block off plate for the old fuel lines I assume you were asking for.

Pics after clear coat:

i think the intake mani and fuel rails would look good if the fins on the mani were polished or at least brushed.

worthless update of the day

1-20-2010

Went to finally install the heads as I gave the engine bay a week to cure and give me a break.

Had a huge hiccup when I tried to remove the passenger head temp sender unit plug and fucked it up. You need a square 5/16 drive to take it off, but I don't have that tool. I tried creating a tool by grinding an allen wrench into a square wrench, but it wouldn't come off. Heated w/ a torch and warped it. I'm ******* pissed. I'll work on it tomorrow w/ my dad.

Intake pretty much finished:

Yeah from the previous discussion w/ 'skinnies' notice I deleted the map sensor vacuum mounting hole on the intake.

I don't have the map sensor figured out yet. But what I'm thinking is get an L bracket and drill some holes. Use the same threads coming off of the egr and bolt the bracket down. Then mount the map sensor there. I think it'll work and be hard to see, but we'll have to see.

i think the fuel rais are sick black...the only thing i disagree on is the top of the intake lins instead of sanding them downa nd polishing like u did i would recrementd paint those black to and i think it would make it pop..my 2 cents
