This LT1 worth the money?
Wasn't sure where to post this but figured the lt1 forum would be best place for it. I've been looking for a little project for over winter and i found a 94 Z28 and I'm not positive whether its a good deal or not.

Also i was wondering around what times in the 1/4 this car should be running with that size cam?
Any help is appreciated!

sounds like a good deal if it runs good...say you spend 3000 on the body work and 600 in a stage 2 trans rebuilg kit, all you have in it is 6100 and thats not bad at all, + it looks like ha has most of the boltons covered + a cam. it should be a pretty stout car. but start saving for a 9 inch.

If he actually owns the car he should be able to get more pics. Sounds like a deal but you need to know what kind of condition the rest of it is in and how much body work is needed.

this lt1 worth it
definitely worth effort of at least checking it out. 99k isnt lot of miles for lt1 if not abused.owner needs to give you more info.if still in good shape and only needs minor work it would be good deal.

$2500 bucks sounds like an awsome deal to me. More pics would be needed & a phone cal is free. As said before get it for that & sink a bit on $ in it & you got a good car for cheap. Even if all you do is use it for parts.

Too many variables to consider for people to give you a rough estimate. The car is obviously in need of some TLC.
You need a good tune, plugs, wires, etc. Too many variables like suspension, weather, track prep, DA, driver mod, etc. etc.
With all of these parts up to date though, it will definitely be one quick LT1 and a nice car on a project budget to boot.
Best of luck! Let us know how things go

I would be a little wary of this car. $2500 is a good deal, but the fact that the guy says in the posting that he doesn't want to mess with it anymore throws a red flag for me. Probably has quite a few gremlins (most likely wiring, tuning). If you have the time, and most importantly, the energy, it could be a good deal.
A car like this, in good running order (new wires, plugs, tune, etc.), should potentially run low to mid 12's. That is a bench racers guess...
