Wink Started my Build tonight!!

i got the motor and tranny out, i didnt have any help so it took awhile! gonna start dissassembly, cleaning, and engine bay clean up, wire hiding tomorrow! here are some pics!

Why did you photoshop a nissan NA motor in your car, trying to save gas?!

How many times have you been asked what water pump and intake is that? Figure you would get it a lot from the older Gen I guys.

a lil progress today, the balancer hub fought me for a loooong time but its done.

here are some pix

Check out the ports on these out of the box trick flows?!?!

more progress.

got the beehives installed


along with the cam and double roller chain, and plugged wp gear hole wth a quarter and some jb weld!

well as of right now it has: TFS 195cc heads, CC 292 XFI camshaft, beehive valvesprings,cloyes double roller timing chain,single plane intake,750 holley carb, HEI distributor, electric water pump, 7.2 hardened pushrods, comp pro magnum 1.6 rockers, SCAT forged crank, SCAT forged 6" rods, JE forged flattop pistons, proffesional products balancer, 383 cubes, around a 10:1 cr, and maybe if i have enough $$ ill relocate the alternator and power steering pump.

you should shoot for as close to 11.5:1 as possible with that much cam... It will still run on pump gas just fine and probably make another 20hp or more.

nope, it was purchased from gm when the engine was built.

yea i know but i have no need to remove the heads yet, and if i did i hav no money for head work.

oh, i was experimenting with that, there is an extra outlet on my radiator, i just ran a hose from the rad to the head just to see if there was a difference in temp or not, there was not.
