Default Aftermarket elbow with opti vent?

I just got a Trick Flow elbow and noticed there isint a hole for the opti vent. I was wondering what some of you guys with aftermarket elbows have done about this. Just drill a hole? or what I don't know. I would think that the opti vent would be a good thing to keep hooked up. Anyone have any ideas?

I put a hole in the rubber sleeve between the elbow and MAF.

just drill a hole. When I bought my elbow it came with a small grommet to be used if you had the vented opti.

Well ****, I got this used and it didn't come with the grommet. Guess I'll have to look for one.

Grommet is readily available at any parts store. Do it in the elbow. The rubber sleve works to but it is a place to start tearing.

Off topic but if you still have your stock elbow you might want to compare the size of it with the trickflow.

mine came with a grommet and instructions on what size bit to use with the drill and the location where to drill if you had a vented opti...I wanna say it was 5/16 bit, but I'm not 100% certain.

Take the opti vent tip with you to the auto parts store and get a grommet that fits over it snugly. Match the inner diameter of that grommet to a drill bit to start, then use 1-2 more to get a bigger hole. A little silicone will help slide the grommet into the elbow and the tip into the grommet. It's easy to drill twice, but hard to put metal back if you go too big. :-)
