Default What should I torque these heads to?

Installing a set of LE2 heads with arp bolts and I'm reading the torque instructions for a 97 and it say to torque to 22 lbs and then turn another 80degrese or long and medium bolts and then another 67 deg on the short bolts. Is there a damn lbs I can torque to or is this it? I can guess at 80 but 67? I am using a mr gasket 5716 a real thin one.

Yea thats what it says for the 93 to 95's but I am guessing that because these are aliminum they made it differant but I like to have a target lbs in mind insted of 3/4 a turn and 2/3rds a turn.

What you are looking at is the specs for stock TTY bolts, your ARP bolts should have come with tourquing instruction. Whenever using aftermarket bolts or studs always go by the manufacturers recommendations.

The bolts are not TTY. The spec is for the torque/angle method. The standard, straight torque and T/A method were used on the LT1 in different years, but the bolt type did not change. Use either method or what ARP recommends for their bolts.
