I'd hope they are asking questions

In all seriousness, I'd spend the money on ported stock castings if you're on a tighter budget looking to get results.

Flow#'s for the 21* TFS heads out-of-the-box from TrickFlow: https://ls1tech.com/forums/10495801-post26.html

These heads have CNC'd chambers and port entry. LE/AI would probably give you a few extra hp all else being equal, but you would already have some aftermarket castings that will flow 300+ cfm after porting out. Plus, both LE and AI are proven whereas no one has tried the 21* TFS yet? So it depends on your goals and willingness to tryout the untested 21* heads.

Generally people shy away from aftermarket casting heads unless they're put on stroker motors. While I've always gone with Lloyd, AI does some impressive work as well. If it were me I would either go with the AI 190cc heads or Lloyd's LE2 heads. Either way with a matched cam your car will run like a raped ape. It's actually pretty easy and reasonble to get a car into the 11's. There was a post not too long ago that a guy had a set of LE1 heads with a fairly small cam and made almost 400 rwhp. Lloyd actually told me once that unless you've got the money and are trying to squeeze out every last little hp you can...the LE2's are a very good choice as opposed to his LE3's. That's why so many people run them because there's only like 10hp difference. Just bigger valves and a tid bit more porting. Nothing major. But again I would stay away from the TFS heads with your setup and stick to having your stock heads ported by Lloyd or AI. You will be happy either way. Oh and as far as compression goes...my old LE2 heads had 50cc chambers, made for some wicked compression and ran great...until I parted the car due to low funds

If you have an LS1 air lid, 1 7/8 headers 3" true duals, etc. you might see a 5hp gain. Maybe 10 if you do a crazy intake manifold setup.

If you have a CAI, 1-3/4 headers and cat back exhaust, you will probably not see any gain at all going with LE3 heads

LE is very good at his very affordable LE2 heads with the LE3 being for crazy cubes and intake setups like I stated above

and this would be from your personal experience?

too much speculation in this thread. I've run both a ported stock casting and a ported aftermarket casting in both a stock shortblock and my current 388 combo. Ramair95 has experience with AI heads, achotrod has experience with LE heads. These are the people you need to be listening to.

I think you knew what I meant. Perhaps I should have said "no unanswered questions."

stay with stock casings on your budget. They will be the best bang for the buck. Sure the trickflows will be nice but if you cant afford them you cant afford them.

LE/AI all day

If you are right by Akron, you could always look at TEA (Total Engine Airflow)

Those should be nice heads, with lots of potential down the road! Then LE or AI or TEA can port them for you!!
