Default What kind of HP to expect from cam like cc503

I was looking for approx HP with just cc503 and 1.6rr with bolt ons.
It would be going on a 94 A4 LT's TD's mail order tune I would throw in a stall, also 3.73's if needed later (currently has 3.23's)
I tried to do some searching but didnt come up with much.
Thanks in advance!

Maybe 20-25...I could be wrong though..

I would compliment it with some head work or a Yank SS3600 Stall and GM 3.73's

I got 44hp from the hotcam with 1.6rrs untuned,so you should gain a little more than that with the cc503.

I didn't factor in the 1.6 RR's...add another 10 or so with those.

had a CC503 in my Z28 and with 1.6RR's, I think I made around 340 on a Dynojet (I may be off by a bit though, it's been a while) with just adjusting playing with the fueling; didn't play with any other parameters 'cos I just wanted to get it running with a safe tune ... swapped in a LS1 before I went any further

Back when I had the cc503 cam my car put down 330rwhp and 335rwtq thru my automatic. I would expect 340-345rwhp in a manual. My mods at the time were the cam, full exhaust, 1.6RR's and a shitty tune. The cc503 along with 1.6RR's is worth about ~45rwhp.

My friend made 327 rwhp with a iron head LT1 with bolt-ons, 3.73s and a PCMforLess tune on a dynojet. That was through his stock stall. So I would figure around there depending on the mods and tune.

PERFECT PROOF right here... IIRC you also said dyno'd 330rwhp thru a stall correct..?

That was through the stock converter. Even with a larger stall I think it's fair to assume 330rwhp yet considering my tune was less than ideal.

Moral of the story don't have local guy tune your car especially when they have very little experience with LT1's.

Uh... 310-320 at the wheels with that cam? I'm pushing 310 with bolt-ons and a stock motor....
