Distributor
Honestly why would you want to deal with the hassle of converting to a distributor? Even a standard opti lasts for quote awhile as long as you keep it dry (electric WP) and make sure your dowel pin is the right length. But the LTCC pulls all the high voltage from the opti which gives you a high resolution pickup (way higher than a magnetic trigger, etc.)

I would say for any NA application just stick with the stock setup, you can make tons of power with it. Only time you need somehting else is with a power adder, and then the LTCC is the ideal solution. Better spark than any of the aftermarket ignitions, and has a few nice features also (2 step, etc.). Plus the opti reliability is increased greatly as there is no more high voltage - now you are mainly worried about the bearing living - and as long as you make sure your dowel pin isn't to long you are fine there.
