I am doing the same conversion as we speak and don't get me wrong, merv's write up is great but I found another one that kind of helped fill in the blanks.

http://www.afrashteh.com/tranny_pics/T56.htm

Merv's filled in the holes that the one above has and vice versa, with these two together I feel you can train a monkey to swap out t56s in these cars.

not to mention shbox if you have some doublechecking on pcm pinouts to do which I did. If you are having a problem with a specific portion of the swap please ask and we may be able to help out if you are a little more specific.

So you were able to do the Engine Harness with the directions I gave you?

The interior wiring in the Car is giving you a problem?

your swap included adding relays because you had done the ls swap but for an LT1 T56 swap all you need to do is extend the wiring that is already in the neutral safety switch over to the clutch start switch and that will function like factory. I decided to buy a weatherpack connector to add to the interior harness and I am going to extend the factory intended power and feed for the reverse lights through the harness that way i do not have to splice the power wire going to the tranny. Other than that it seems like it is snip and rip out of the engine harness with the exception of one wire to the pcm and one wire for a 12v switched and of cousr the VSS circuit.

Ya mine was setup a little different since it was for the LS, but the majority of it is the same. I gave him instructions on what I thought would work for the LT1 setup based on the Schematics..I have a feeling I was close..

We sent them little banana eatin turd throwin bastards to the moon, I'm sure it's possible..

Yea..SHbox's site helps alot with the LT1 technical stuff, I pretty much got it for the LS stuff, it's very simple for the LS Cars.
