Default 355 No Power, Shakes.

I'm posting this for my brother. He has a 1995 M6 355 w/ 503 cam.

Problem: Car is down on HP and engine shakes in 5th and 6th gear.

New parts:
Opti
Wires
Plugs
ICM

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Any codes? Could be a ton of things really. Start by checking fuel pressure.

Thats what's making it so hard to fix. Code tester isn't connecting to the PCM. Will check the fuel pressure once we get a fuel pressure tester handy.

FOUND THE PROBLEM!
Cylinder # 8 spark plug was covered in oil.

What could cause this?
Piston Rings?
Valve seals?

His car has a new felpro intake mani gasket.

An oil-coated spark plug could be a couple things, like valve seals, guides, rings, etc., but if it's only the one plug (assuming the other 7 are fine), it's probably a poorly installed intake manifold gasket.

He said the rest are fine. He ran a compression test and that checks out fine as well.
