Default Roll bar install...

Thought I'd share my recent endeavor. It isn't painted yet, but I think the install is very clean. Sorry if posted in the wrong section..I didn't see one called "safety equipment"

pre th400? was the cage from Ryne's guy? if so please PM me a price, I might have to settle for a 6pt vs 10pt right now due to finances. Also this reminds me I need to put a fire extiguisher in my car ASAP.

Yes - he's in Perris and does all of Ryne's cage/rollbar installs. The TH400 is going in, hopefully, in a couple of weeks.

The nice thing about this is that the 10-point conversion is not that difficult. I may need one too after my SC LQ9 build.

Thanks. No kit - it's a custom built set-up.

Looks great love how tight it is to the head liner!! One question wouldnt it have been better to put the rear bars on the deck over the frame rails? Why did you go all the way back?

Since there is no "frame" to speak of, it didn't matter. As Clint said, it does the exact same thing. The roll bar fabricator like to build them with the longer rear bars.

I've always wondered about the swing outs. Do they make noise and rattle or are they quiet?

PITA IMO, I just got low slung bars and can get in and out easily.

Nice!

I agree 94Z28rag, I have the low bars and a Corbeau Forza seat, I'm so used to it I get in and out easily.

I got lucky, chrome moly six point, I think its a Wolfe, came out of a wrecked LS1 SS, $250 then installed for $100. $350 is less than the thing would have cost new before shipping, not too bad of a deal.

Has anyone used anything besides paint on the door bars though? I flop the harness over the bar before getting in, and well now the paint is missing in some spots.
