I was actually saying BigBadWhitey should come down. He's only about a 4 hour drive (and 1.5 hour ferry ride) from my little island

Allow me to translate...
He used the word "hork" which isn't in this case a typo for "hook." "Hork" means to 'lift with noisy exertion' (in this case onto the back {tailgate} of a pickup truck). He meant to place it in the bed of, not behind, the truck.
See also: "scrunch," "scooch," "wuggah," etc.

i just dropped my motor by the k-member. you gotta have straps or rope to tie the knuckle back to the k-member but it actually worked ok.. if you had a STB it might even make it easier. even though you tie it back you still need a jack or some kind of dolley under the kmember to make it easier. but that is definitely a thought. 120 feet and a full lt1.. crazy. breaking it down like mentioned earlier might help a lot as well

Why did you change my sentence to read "hook"? I purposely said "hork." It is slang, "to throw." Perhaps before changing a sentence in thinking you are clever it would be wise to educate yourself if you do not understand certain terms. Just a thought.

I picked up a shortblock myself once and brought it in the counter of an Advanced auto parts since they wouldn't get me the right oil pressure switch for some reason lol. So I brought it in and tested a few out for myself. It was pretty damn heavy, but I'm a pretty big dude. Three or four average sized/strong men should be able to lift a longblock no problem. If not, then no comment about Canada.. 0=)
