I hit 150 the other weekend when Gregrob and I were playing around a little bit but I didnt have my camera out. I will take video this next time though for sure lmao!

I wanna find a way to clock above 155 so I can see a little closer to what my top speed is lol

lol, I was talking about my speedometer. Mine goes to 155. I have no clue what I will be doing after that but I was pulling hard when I got to 150 still...I think I could break 170 if I wanted to...but no way to tell unless I can measure speed somehow other than my speedometer lmao!

I will go for gold when the time is right, I just dont wanna go for an orange jumpsuit and get my car crushed haha. My luck I would pass a trooper and end up in jail with my car next in line for the crusher at a salvage yard...

What gear do you have in the back? I think that an auto with 3.73 gears can only do about 155 until it hits the red line/rev limiter.

If any parts are salvagable...I buried the needle in my car one time and at that speed I am pretty sure nothing would survive depending on what got in the way of course

Your speedo is way off cory. We were barely doing 125 the other night, not 150... lol

You need to have Trent check that when you get tuned. I set mine via gps and tweaked it to perfection with the tuning software so I know it's accurate.

my speedo only goes to 155 as well...but the needle goes past that and damn near touches the amp meter...lol

btw, most any GPS unit can tell ya your fastest speed...used to have a pic on my phone from my buddy's car, 164mph on the GPS...

and if yur goin 130mph you might as well go 150mph if all yur owrryin about is cops, cuz the cop isn't going to care when he pulls you over when he clocks you at 130, even if you do say "I could have gone 155"

seriously though everyone, do this **** at yur own risk, cuz that **** will kill you if you, yur car, or the roadway isn't capable!

I used to take my GTO up to 110+ every day. i haven't had my camaro over 140 though. way too dangerous with a solid axle car. I just took the TBSS to 120 the other day, doubt i will do it again

verdy nice. back when i had my cobalt ss/sc, i had it up to 157(gps verified) on my way to tirerack in indiana. I do have to say it does get a little scary at that speed. In my Z i had it to 110 so far before i had to shut down.

Are you on ******* crack?

I guess you better call up nascar, pro stock, funny cars, top fuel, and every other major form of competitive racing and tell them to switch to IRS because their **** is dangerous.

Some people ******* amaze me.

yea careful! thats what happened to me. I've cruised @ 140 many a time but the 1 time I go to top it out and I passed a trooper who was on an on-ramp. I was @ 145-150 when I passed him and he was going ~40ish, he heard a roar and only saw tail lights.. and I kept going and brought it up to 5700rpms in 5th. according to this calculator thats 174 but you've got to keep in mind tachs aren't spot on so I assume it was 165+ anyways. heres the clac> http://www.wallaceracing.com/calcmph.php
sounds good! are you sure u were in 5th and not 4th tho? 6k in 4th is around 135, 6k in 5th is 180+(w/ 3.42's)

surprisingly thats not always true. the troopers told me if I had just pulled over they would of wrote me a ticket and let me go, but I don't believe that and told them 'yeah right'. how ever they were tellin me about a chase they had just the night before mine where "that guy was only going 120" and that "they had to call it off when he got off the highway"(required by law in my parts) but they didn't call off the chase when I got off the highway just because I was going so fast they were hell bent on catching me.

183 @ stock redline according to the calculator. I could of brought mine up to 6000 no problem but I was afraid I'd pop the engine sustaining those kind of rpms and in the worst way possible, running from the cops.
