To be more specific...
  • the sensor layout on the LS1 engine is not the same as the sensor layout as the LT1 engine
  • the firing order is different, so injectors and coils 2&3 and 7&4 will be pinned differently at the PCM
  • the cam sensor connector for 24x conversions is pinned as a Gen IV cam sensor (LS2,LS3,LS7,etc)
  • the crank sensor connector for 24x conversions uses a different connector than the LS1 crank sensor connector

aah ok.....well im glad that the LT guys found a way to get rid of the opti....but I think when I get ready with a motor swap....I'll just get all the LS stuff to begin with...to save time, money, headaches and sanity.

would it really be cheaper to swap to an LS1/LQ4 motor than just doing the 24x conversion?
