Default 95 lt1 trans am not running right.

just hooked up my scanner got code 43 (elec. spark control module or sensor problem) so what part do i get to fix this? The car is having trouble starting and misfires at high rpm's

id have to imagine its your ICM its attached to the coil bracket

do you have a friend that you can switch ICM and Coil with??

Last time I had that code it was the opti.....But check everything else first...

ahh i'm just going to replace the opti again.... damn gm perf. parts suck!

Don't go replacing the opti without trying the ICM and coil. Always do the easier things first! The ICM and coil are mounted on the driver side of the motor. Switch those two out and see how it runs - it takes a max. of 10 min. to replace

the icm and the coil are both new... i know it is the opti

I would still try swapping them it's too easy not to do that before you try and replace the opti. Also check the opti harness

My car is doing the same thing. Except it is misfiring everywhere and a lot of lights are on on the dash. Abs, air bag, check gauges etc. Volt meter is fluttering around the 18 volt mark. I don't know whats going on i initially thought it was the opti, but now im wondering if it could b the ecu? The lights came on yesterday after i tried to move it out of the way in my driveway. Any ideas?
