I just got the codes checked out and I only got one code: P0134 Oxygen Sensor Bank1/Sensor 1 no Activity. The check engine light has been on for at least 2 months as I always just ignored it. One thing I did forget to mention was that when it would rev up by itself I did hear a backfire on the exhaust.

You need to check the heater circuit on the O2. It's not reaching temp. This causes the PCM to throw that code. It can't properly measure the O2 readings because the sensor is not to temp. Check your wires to make sure they are all good, and then replace it if need be. If it is not to temp it will run rich. I would pull a plug on that bank and see if it is fould up.

I had some wires that were shot and not reading proper temperatures. My car would idle and rev up to 2000 and back down, also while driving the idle would jump around.

If you have an exhaust leak(as evidence of the pop/backfire) this will cause and idle problem like this.

If you are having a "no activity code", then you NEED to diagnose that first. That WILL cause the concern that you are having. The pre-cat sensor monitors engine performance and if the ECM is not seeing any activity then it is going to default to a constant rich/lean condition. Check and make sure that you have proper voltage, signal and good ground at the connector, if so then replace the sensor. As far as everything else, I wouldn't say that it would be your T/B sensors because cleaning it rarely creates problems, however, cleaning your MAF sensor almost always screws something up. They are VERY, VERY sensitive and are not to be cleaned without the proper solvent, and even then it get tricky. That is what I would do if you came into my shop... Good luck!

As far as modding, no I havent done anything to the car lately. I did clean out the throttle body and mass air flow sensor though, other than that, thats it, it still had the same result before and after cleaning them so I dont think I screwed anything up that time.

There is your problem. I accept checks
