Default High rpm miss or cuttin out?

I have been trying for the last 4 months to diagnose the 5k - 6k rpm miss / cuttin out. For the last couple of days check engine light is coming on for a couple of minutes and then it goes off. I just checked them and i got P0100 and p0336. Here is my first thread that i started

Yeah i still have the damn problem. I changed the opti with a 3k mile one and even and ebay opti and there was no difference. Im gonna see if i can find some one that would let me borrow their maf and map sensor. I got that code P0100 and im gonna see if those 2 things are messing up my LOAD setting on the tune. Other things i think might be is a VACUUM leak. If i find the problem, i ll let you guys know. It is hard to find an LT1 tuner in the Rio Grande Valley. .....

Default intake

God damn my headers are glowing red through the header wrap idling. What can cause that? I hear the rpms jumping form 1k to 1.5k rpm and there is ALOT of air being sucked in to the intake.

What can cause that much air to be sucked into the engine? Today i got the code p0100 and p0336 again WTF help plz

Im still having problems with the car, now my transmission is gone 3rd and 4th went. Anybody got a link on how to check/know what the resistances on the crank sensor? I hooked up a wideband and 14.7 at idle and cruicing. It goes 10.5-11 afp at wot on the 2 gears i have left. I changed my plugs and they were all fouled, put in some new tr55 gaped at 50 and problem still there. Any help or advice is always appreciated...thanks

Have you changed your fuel filter? What is your fuel pressure? And I read something about a different pcm? can you describe what and why you have a different pcm. I know how depressing a nagging problem can be, I feel for you.

I got a new Walbro, new fuel filter, new fpr, new icm, coil , opti, coolant temp, crank sensor , o2 sensors, msd 8.5, tr55 gaped at 50. I need to check that po100 code for my maf sensor, How do you check the maf to make sure its in good condition.??

In the same boat with y'all, mine will miss for that split second at usually 5600. And not to steer you in the wrong direction but I did the swap to the ls coil on plug and still havin the same miss. But had it on the dyno, and when it missed it dropped 150 horse then came right back up

Guys im still trying to figure out this fucken problem. I bought a live data software and i hooked it up and saw some numbers about fuel trim, ignition timing, load, mass air lbs/min and some othe sensors. NOW I SEE MY TIMING AT 22-26 AT IDLE AND 38-43 DEG AT WOT IS THAT NORMAL??? INTAKE AIR TEMP WAS AT 114, MAF 1.75 LBS/MIN ARE THIS READINGS OK ???Believe it or not i dont know what the stock timing should be at in the lt1 .....

Your timing seems fine, what are your fuel trims at idle and while driving (long term). Also look at your fuel system, psi, and is it a good filter. Make sure you don't have fuel or even a fuel smell in the vacum line from the intake to the psi regulator. Glowing headers are a sign your running lean. How muck vacum are you pulling at idle? Also check your rockers make sure they're not set too tight, that can cause your cutting out as well as too big of a plug gap.

if u think ur maf is bad, just unplug it. if it runs better, theres ur problem. other than that, i had a hit rpm miss on my old motor that wouldnt go away. never got it to. i started thinking about it and this is what i came up with.

id put a new opti on it and it would run great for about a week. then it would come back. when i pulled the opti out again, all the rotors wer loose on all the optis. i think i replaced it 3 times. what i figure is happening is the front cam bearing is worn out and is now using the opti bearing for a cam bearing, putting too much load on it and causing play. granted, my problems arent as bad as yours but i hope this helps

Bank 1 (driver side) is showing lean, it's adding fuel to compensate you want the LTFT's to stay between +10.0/-10.0. For reference "0" = the 14.7:1 AFR the pcm is shooting for while driving. -12.5 isn't too bad but idle should be the easist time for the pcm to control the fuel trims. Have you checked for a bad injector? Also misfires can be misread by the O2's as a lean condition.

I havent checked for a bad fuel injector other than disconnnecting one at a time and hearing if it make any diffence. Howo do you check for a bad fuel injector? Is the rest of the data OK?
