Sorry man I have been busy. yes that looks like the gmpp lt1 hd timming set. as for the code, you need the whole code. the reluctor checks for missfires so I don't really know with out the entire code.

The CPS is only used for detecting misfires and won't cause a no-start condition by itself.

GM preformance parts Heavy duty timming set. It's a solid cam and crank sproket with a single roller chain. Stock LT1's as far as I know came with nonroller style chain and the cam sproket had 3 spokes. It is an upgrade over the stock. While you have it open line up the dot on each sproket so the crank dot is at the 12Oclock possition and the cam dot is directly above the cranks dot at the 6 Oclock position. Due this by turning the crank. Then you can verify number 1 cylinder is at top dead center and the timming was set right when it was replaced.

oh thanks a lot jaycenk, and one last question, best way to turn the crank is?

I was thinking of putting the stock bolt back in and then turn it like that or is there another way?

you will need some spacers if you do it that way. Thats how I did mine but if you pull the plugs it will turn a hell of a lot easier. You don't want to bottom the bolt out in the crank because you will F'up the threads on the bolt and when you pull it back out you will F'up the threads in the crank. Also make sure you get enough of the threads in the crank other wise you risk stripping out the crank and thats not good at all.
