Default Guide to installing an LT1 Help?!

This is a diy project and I was wondering if anyone had a guide to putting an LT1 into a 4th gen.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

"How to Rebuild Small Block Chevy LT-1/LT-4 Engines" by Mike Mavrigian. This book you can get from barns and noble. I was told it's from pulling the motor to installing it how to.

It's just an engine rebuild book. Nothing about pulling or installing it.

94zGreen: doesn't your Z already have an LT1? There are tons of threads around and some guides about pulling the engine.

Put the engine and trans on the kmember / front suspension.

Lift the car up with an engine hoist.

Put the car on jackstands which are on top of wood lincoln log stacks.

Put the engine/trans/suspension underneath the car.

Lower the car on to the engine/trans/suspension. Bolt up the kmember and shocks to the body.

This might give you some ideas:

1) set motor in car
2) put everything back how you found it
3) enjoy

honestly though the wiring harness is pretty self explanitory everything is only as long as it needs to be so as long as you route it the right way it'll pretty much go where it needs to be, though only real PITA was installing the accessories because I did them after the motor was in

I bought a roller with the engine and trans sitting next too it. and with no prier knowledge of lt1s everything went together pretty easy. I thought it would be alot harder then it really was.

I would just get going on it and ask questions as they arise, it is pretty straight forward
