GM Motive are the quietest.

Are you planning on doing the install yourself? I only ask because to have them installed is going to run you around $300 or so in labor/materials.

I'm having my uncle do them for me since he used to work at a chevy dealer and hes done them before, I figured about 300 or so

the summit brand 3.73 for 7.5 inch 10 bolt are motives for 50 bucks less. I am not sure about the other ratios/rear ands because they source them from different manufacturers but I took a chance on the summits and they appear to be motives. Set them at .009 backlash and they are whisper quiet under any circumstance.

My Motives whine a little, and they were set up good.

Never had Motives, but I've had experience with Richmond and Strange Engineering and I can say the Stranges are much quieter in general and have also held up to many more burnouts, brakestands, and drag launches than the Richmonds ever did.

Whatever you buy, just make sure its not Richmond.

Just a reminder that you will need a series 3 carrier for those gears, and sounds like you have a series 2 carrier. Just wanted to make sure that you do not get into this only to find you need more parts. Also a tune will be required to get your speedo back in sync with the new gears. I have the motive's and they are quiet and a great mod.

You can order the same gears for either carrier.

i sheared a richmond pinion in half and quiet a few teeth out of the ring.

i have GM motive's and they are super quiet, and held up to the abuse nicely so far

Umm, no. If he has 3.23's already then he has a 3 series carrier..

After having a few different brands, I like Motive the best as well.

I would do 3.90's in that beast! I love mine
