Hey guys,

I ran across this which i think is a pretty good deal.

i know a little about stalls but not much. My car right now has stock suspension and just some regular street tires. With that in mind, would this do much good? I plan on getting some suspension parts and better tires in the future but it may be a while. Also will this work with stock parts well? The only thing in my drive line that's not stock is the ds which is an aluminum one form an ls1 camaro. I figure this is a better deal though than buying a new one for $725 on the site, when this poster there said he could get it to me for 375 shipped. Will this work in my lt1? i know its for a c5 but looks like it works both ways. Just looking for more info and if you guys think it would be a good way to go, all my other mods are in my sig.

its a great deal. im not 100% sure if they r interchangable but from his ad it looks like they are. if it was me i would call yank and check first.

the only issue with buying used converters is knowing if they r junk or not. if the converter is junk and u install it and run it it could blow ur entire transmission. thats the only reason i bought mine new.

but if the guy seems legit and reputable it seems like a hell of a deal

oh and this is one mod that u will not regret. i have the SS3600 in my bolt on car and it was by far the biggest impact mod i have dont yet so far!

alright thanks, yeah im ify one it being used too but dang half the price of a new one makes me really want it haha. how is it from hooking up from a stop? like i said above i have crappy tires kinda, and stock suspension which im not liking but eventually ill upgrade it.

The LT1 and LS1 4L60Es are different and require application-specific torque converters.

on yanks site i clicked 93-97 lt1 fbody and it says on the page with the converters

93-97 F-Body LT1 / C-5 Corvette / 94-96 Impala SS

and if u click on c5 vette it takes you to the same page, im trying to call yank but i just got voicemail.

the c5 corvette converter is interchangable with the lt1 converter last time I checked.

Strangely enough, I think LS1 Fbody stalls won't swap, but vettes will.

if it fits (and be certain about that CALL YANK) it will be awesome. u will be spinning the tires from a stop. but thats what drag radials are for
