Red face help!!!

i have replaced the accessory bracket on the front of my lt-1 two times now. what breaks in the bold holding the power steering pump to the bracket. is there anything i can do to make it stronger and not have bolts break???

I'm going to guess that the bolts that are breaking are the thinner narrow 10mm bolts that hold the power steering pump to the bracket. There's no reason they should be breaking. Are you reusing the stock bolts? Are the bolts you are using long enough?

Are you making sure they stay tight? If they are loose and the pump moves on the bolts that can break them

Yes I am using the factory 10mm bolts and they either back themselves off or break. What do u mean grade 8 bolts? Where can I get those?

grade 8 is the hardness of the bolt, its the hardest grade. hardware stores sell them. If its backing it self off theres a problem, the bolts should not do this. ive never had one break on any acc bracket so u have a bigger issue

I'm thinking its because I have to much horse power. The tensioner pulley was also pretty loose so that could of been a contributing factor.

well give us a run down of your setup, im making 426 to the wheels and my acc bracket is fine with stock bolts
