Guys, lay off him. He has issues right now that he probably doesn't even realize. First of all is the fact that his **** is extremely lean. Second of all, I bet he is getting extreme Knock Retard at the lower altitude as he doesn't have his tune corrected for the high DCR he is setup with....and his running lean just exasperates this issue.

My advice to him is to STOP drag racing the car and get the PCM where it needs to be before running it any more.

And as far as the cam, we will probably let you know when he finally has his **** right.

Some truth there, my car's best ET did NOT have the best MPH or 60ft with it. It was .02 off on the 60ft and a little over half a MPH slower than the best mph. A good dead hook often slows MPH at least on street cars with compromised gear and stall for the street.

My best passes all show a little slip(datamaster) just past 20mph a little over 5000rpms.

For best track performance I need either a shorter tire or 4.56s and more stall, most of us with dual use cars make compromises like this.

I ran it 3 times at the track on Friday. That is the only time I have raced it besides a couple light to lights but nothing drastic. I want 1 1/4 run at this low altitude before I go back to 6000+ feet on the 6th. Other than that its not being raced. I am getting it tuned when I get back to Cheyenne when I can get time so dig into it with gregrob. I only get to come here once a year MAYBE so I wanted a time before I left.

I know your DA sucked but my scrap runs 7.4s @95mph in the 1/8 on a 1.760ft. You have a lot of work to do to get deep in the 7s IMO. Im still kinda wondering why your MPH is so low even at 4700ft.
Also how the hell you gonna get a LS1 intake on the car??

Was thinking the same. My turd ran the 1/8 at 8.6 @ 83 with a 2.11 60 and he has easily 120+ more rwhp then i do.

I could be wrong but I thought for every .1 off your sixty you can subtract more than .1 off your 1/4 mile time. This is just what I have experienced with my cars. Its all in the 60...

Thats what I thought! RamAir must have been mistaken or thinking of reaction time cause the 60' will make or break an E/T...but oh well...guess I wont know for quite a while cause it will be several months before I get to a low altitude again lol. The next opprotunity sounds like its gonna be the LTX Shootout haha

I am no newb when it comes to drag racing. What I was saying is that there is no EXACT FORMULA to correlate 60' reduction to ET reduction because every car is different. Get your damn car to the track once it's running right and stop speculating.

I wasnt trying to call you a noob or insult you Joe, not by ANY means and I sincerely apologize if it seemed that way.

I didnt think there was an exact formula, I just figured if I knock off .4 from the 60' then I should have around .4 off my E/T. Trust me, the last thing I wanna do is sit here and speculate on what my car "might" do a the track "if" I do this or "when" i do that. I want hard times. I just wanted an idea of where I am at, and where I should be. I get back to Wyoming the 6th and get the tune done. Then I will build the new rear and drop it in...then I will get the intake finished. Once that is done I will be ready to put it to the test and go from there.

I apologize again Joe if I upset you...not my intention at all, I just wanted clarification.
