It all works the same. The dynaspark is made much better but is also more expensive. Take a minute and read up on their site.

http://www.dynaspark.net/advantage/

After receiving mine and seeing the quality put into the dynaspark, I would not hesitate to get another one if needed. I know of a few high horsepower LT1's with this unit and they have had zero issues.

I would have to agree with everyone else on the #8 pigtail issue because if you swapped the injectors out and the issue remained it must be the wiring.

I was inclined to think that at first also, however I had the same problem on a different set of heads, cam and intake last fall. So 2 different combos with the same problem makes me think it's something external to the engine.

Changed the injector pigtails on #2 and #8 last night. The #8 primary is still getting extremely hot after only a few minutes at idle. I will pull the spark plug out today. It was too hot to get to last night.

I wouldn't run the car very long until you get that panned out, if it is running that lean to get a glowing primary without any real load than you could potentially do some serious damage. Good luck

According to Ed Wright LT1 ecms CAN in fact tune individual cylinders.

I would look at that injector ASAP. I would not run the car until I figured that out.

And FYI Single planes are notorius for corner cylinders being lean, it has to be corrected with porting.

My car has hurt #8 two times now. I had the intake ported this time.

Yeah, I think you're right (and Ed of course). I found the "Individual Cylinder Fuel Trim Multiplier" table in CATS Tuner for tuning the cylinders but everything in that table appears to be normal. I tried swapping #1 and #8 injectors but #8 was still a problem. So I don't think it's an injector problem. After talking with LE this morning, I may have a weak spark to #8 which is causing fuel to be burned in the primary instead of in the combustion chamber. I plan on picking up some plug wires this afternoon and trying again. #8 is hard to get to and I very well may have damaged the wire taking it off/on and it's the one thing that has remained the same across builds.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will let you know what I find.

#8 read around 150K ohms! 6 wires read around 500 ohms and #3 read around 2K ohms so it was probably on it's way out too. I picked up a set of new wires and got them installed. Fuel pressure looks to be a few PSI low but the primary isn't glowing anymore.

Thanks LE!
