Keep us updated. Have you had it hooked to a scanner? The reason I ask is I wonder if its getting knock or false knock and pulling a crazy amount of timing out.

Well i took it to my friends fathers shop and his friend who works on transmissions looked at it and said it was the stall converter. He then told me that the 3200 stall i have is too big and I shouldn't go over a 2000 stall. Does this even make sense???

Not even in the least. A 3200 is perfect for a street car.

I don't understand why he think I need a 2000 or smaller stall. Glad it didn't destroy my trans. BTW monster transmissions sucks. I called them because they said it had a 3 year warranty when I ordered it, only to find out in the fine print they said only 3 year warranty with the order of trans and stall. They are very shade company that I recommend people stay away from.

if your transmission is still shifting strong, it probably is the converter..

What would it be like if I put the stock converter back in my trans for now?

For my new stall should I go for 3200 or 3600?

i just got a Champ 2500rpm converter for $150 plus core, ive used this brand converter for years and never had any problems..

according to this valvetrain guide thats stickied at the top of the forum, you could go with a 2500rpm stall.. i think a 3000rpm would be just right though.

cc503: (224/230 .537/.544 112lsa) w/ 1.6RR's
Widely known for being the biggest cam you want to run on a stock headed car without sacrificing usable power and drivability. Features Comp’s relatively newer XE (Xtreme Energy) lobes for increased top-end power. Has a very strong mid-range with strong top-end power without much if any loss in the low-end. Similar to the GM846 and good for a solid 10-15hp/tq throughout over the “Hot Cam”, cc305 etc. May have some cam surge, depends how good the tune is.
Pass Emissions?: No, requires tuning to pass
Shift Point for Maximum Performance: 6200-6400rpm
Idle Characteristics: Choppy Idle
M6; Require Gears?: No
A4; Require Stall?: 2500+ Stall Speed
