talk to tuff, same vincent and some of the others on the bullet side,,seems they all been droping a point or more when there shooting the 500-700 shots to have a lil bigger of a tuning window..they can make up the 10-20hp lost from that with lil bit more juice and still have a better tunning window.

The margin of compression that most LTx engines are built with is like 9:1-11/12:1 so with that your not going to see a huge gain compression wise in that range.

A 'real' NX engine is going to be high like 13:5+ and built directly, soley and only for the hose.

Like FASTFATBOY said, you are splitting hairs on a the ring package. I have a hellfire setup in my car, I don't remember offhand what the specs are but it should be fine for driving NA and on the gun. I personally dont care about a small hp loss from a well setup engine either.

Nooo you see BIG improvements with compression in that 9-12:1 range. Once you get above 13:1 the gains get a bit smaller, partly because of the dome you usually need to get the compression that high.

I've heard different. But in anycase, sounds like the OP is building an engine he wants to spray once in a while and not everyday. So ring choice should be simple.

You guys say my engine builder must hate me. Well the quotes above are exactly why I ask these questions. You have two different engine builders that say two different things. So I try to find out the best methods for certain things and will sometimes ask my engine builder how he does it. Doesn't sound like a bad idea to me when it is MY MONEY.

Now that I am confused how to do thing rings. Should I do top Hellfire rings and gapless second rings? or No?

Also I will be spraying most of the time at the track. If anyone needs to know this.

I think you missed my stab at humor.

get a TNT top ring from total seal, with a napier 2nd. It's a great combination
