Anyone having issues with a choppy screen? Mine glitches bad and I'm not sure why. It only started doing it recently... anyone know how to fix it? I'm guessing its a connection issue.

I also noticed that the coolant temp is way off. Mine reads 209-214* F on Tunerpro, but Datamaster shows 185ish. Had me freaked out.

Mine was reading really choppy also, but after I cleaned all the grounds to the engine and chassis It stopped....maybe with bad or lesses quality ground some type of interference is being picked up...just a thought... I am still a nooby at these cars.

It was glitchy as hell for me so I was forced to figure out the fix for the choppy screen.

steps:
1. Download tts datamaster program for your car.
2. use 20 free log sessions
3. realize how well it works and that it was the tunerpro datalogging program that sucked not your car.
4. purchase datamaster program.
5. Be happy and COMPLETELY glitch free(so far)... minus $120.

It does everything you need it to easier and better. Plus it already does inj duty cycle too.

At first I was NOT happy I had to spend more money, but looking back it was 100% worth it. DO IT.

This is what I am in the process of doing. Datamaster is great.

You need an OBD I cable with the 16 pin OBD II "style" connector yes.

Moates is the only one Id use.

If you guys are getting a glitchy datastream add a 20-25msec pause command in the adx definition. Here is a file where I've done that in the auto $EE adx def.

I love datamaster too but trying to get away from it. I go threw laptops about once a year and the registration process is a pain.

Download the file, remove the .hpl extension and you should be good to go. This one is set up for a 20 msec pause. You can change it to fit your needs in the edit ADX - Commands - Mode 1 Message 0 Pause

Shouldn't be too hard. I don't know if you can call out another PID to create a PID. You would need to do some math with engine speed and injector pulse width to come up with injector duty cycle. You could always do it in excel.

Default Using tunnerPro on an Obd2 car

Just starting to research tunning. Great tutorial. Can Tuner Pro be used on an Obd2 ecu if so what connection cable would it use? Or do I have to buy someting like HPTuner to do Obd2?
Thanks

There is a ELM plugin that works on OBDII cars but never tried it.
http://tunerpro.net/downloadPlugins.html

TunerPro works excellent for changing the bin and I use it on many differant GM ECMs

I've been working on the Aqusition side (ADX Data Logging) for LT1 $EE and finding the same issus with wrong or jumping data!

For you guys that it works for will you let me know your exact car?

If it does not work right which car?

What I am finding is Corvette has a digatal dash tied to serial data line that needs to be sileneced.

On Camaro/Firebird there is ABS (EBCM) and SIR (Air Bag) tied into serial line that needs to be silenced.

On B body cars they have EBSM SIR and HVAC tied into serial data line that needs silened.

I think this is why some guys get it to work and some don't.

I got a new ADX built for TunerPro that is solid as a rock, no more glitches!

I've been working on the XDF as well. Go to last post in the $EE info thread and get both V3 XDF and ADX as there is some data Tracing set up as well.
http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...rmation-EE-EEB

There are some other origanal ones ealier in thread that suposedly worked on Covette at one time, those are the ones everyone had glitchs with. Get the V3 ADX and XDF at bottom.

There's a lot of bin files, wiring diagrams there as well as Speedometer spreadsheet to figure tire and gear change and the WOT BLM locker program.

Can you attach those V3 files to this thread? You have to be a member on the other forum to download the files. Thanks.

I did try but the extensions were not allowed here... I did Zip them once before and when unzipped had an issue, I will attach them here Zipped again. Hope they work. They are available in original form unzipped still above.

Very nice tutorial, I have been using tunerpro for years and love it. I no longer have an LT1 car but I am tuning for a friend. We built him a 383 LT1, which I tuned and is running great. The only thing I can not figure out how to do is get the speedo changed for his 3.90 gear. I have heard that Tunercat does the calculation for you, but to keep from buying Tunercat I would like to figure it out in Tunerpro. If anyone knows how to do it please share. Thanks

Here are the speedo tables

Several posts up I gave a link to LT1 info which has an Excell spreadsheet for doing the speedo caculations, there is also a WOT locker which is an incredible difference at WOT. Use it on your bin and add about 20 % fuel to WOT... on a stock motot and you get close to 12.8 to 1 AFR with no O2 cross counts!
