well guys, i got my y-pipe, poly trans mount, coolant overflow tank, and poly torque arm bushing in the mail, and three hours later, all installed.

i have my relocation bracket, and billet ps pully on tracking, and they should be here in a couple of days. i'll get those installed within a few hours, and then all that will be left will be oil and coolant, then i can start this beast for the first time. i still need to get brake lines for the front before it'll be on the road again though. stay tuned, this should be interesting.

after nearly 2 months of wait time.(june 5th-july 29th) i finally received my mymachinehead stuff from speed inc. although it took forever, and was quite ridiculous, the products are superior, in quality and fitment, very well put together, and easy to install. only problem being the sway bar, that needs a spacer installed to fit the bracket w/ the sway bar installed.
my machine head threw in a free 5 spoke billet ps. pully, and t-shirt, so that was very nice for the extreme backorder and with many follow ups on the order.
here it is all installed on the car...

should be getting oil and such into the car, and getting it started up for the first time here pretty soon. most likely this weekend.

okay, so i go everything necessary to start car hooked up today. power steering lines hooked up, belt drive, all wiring done, heater core lines hooked up, filled with all necessary fluids, PS, oil, coolant, all everything hooked up. got gas in it, charged the battery, and the car will not crank. it turns over many times, and will keep turning over as long as you hold the key, but it will not actually start up and run. doesn't back fire or anything. just keeps rotating over and over without any sign of even a hesitation with starting.

i checked the coil by removing, and putting it close to metal to see if it would arc, and it arced. so that's working. the fuel pump is audibly priming when car key is turned to on position. i just don't know where to begin to check things as far this goes.

help please....

here's everything put together, and looking good though.

thanks, but no. the plug wires are all in in the right order..

i completely pulled the front down to the opti today, and checked my alignment on the opti to make sure it was on correctly, and there's just no way to actually be certain that it's seated with the oval in the cam dowel or not.. i mean it goes on, and it looks like oval is lined up with the dowel before pushing it on, but other than that it's nearly impossible to see. the opti doesn't exactly sit completely flush with the timing cover bolt holes though, does this mean it's not installed correctly? it's prolly 1/16th in. away from being flush with the bolt holes on the timing cover. the screwing down of the bolts makes it flush though.. and with the fuel pressure test with the key turned to the on position i had about 30psi when the pos harbor freight tester started spraying fuel everywhere.

ugh, thats the 1 thing I hate about opti's! getting that damn dowel pin into the right hole! idk what my deal was but I spent HOURS trying to get it on right, finally a mechanic buddy of mine stopped by and bam, made me look like a fool in 20seconds
go on shbox's page and do the opti tests if you haven't already.. check the grounds.. coil.. GL man!

http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#opti_test Also ohm out the coil just to be safe. Just because its sparking off the coil doesnt guarantee that it has enough juice to overcome the a/f mixture in the cylinder.

ps.... i am jealous dude. You have a ******* sweet set up there man and I wish you the best of luck!!!
