Removing crank hub from crank pulley?
Hey guys, my crank hub is stuck to my crank pulley and I need to separate them. How do I do this considering the pulley is off of the crank?before anyone asks I got my old motor back from a shop and that is how it was. Do I need to bolt it back onto a crank and then pull the pulley off?

it doesn't need to be secured to the crank to separate the balancer from the hub. A 3 jaw puller as mention earlier would be able to pull on the pulley with the jaws while pushing on the center of the hub successfully separating the two. If you must I am sure you could secure either the balancer or the hub in a vice during this process.

There are specific pullers at parts stores that cost maybe $12 and will pull it off quickly. They come with 3 bolts that spline into the 3 holes that are offset from the bolts that hold it on the hub.
