Rocker Noise?
I recently swapped from roller tip rockers to Comp Ultra Pro Mag full rollers and I seem to get quite a bit of noise up top. I initially thought it could be my lifters because of the spring pressures I am running but after talking to some people I am not so sure the lifters are causing the noise. It is not loud like clacking but it is definately there and I guess my question is exactly how much noise is to be expected from running roller rockers?

I will try and get a couple of vids on my camera, I don't know how well the mic will be able to pick it up becasue it is just a camera I don't own a camcorder but I'll give it a shot.

the camera does seem to exaggerate the noise a little bit but not a whole lot, that is pretty much how it sounds. I have readjusted valve lash 3 times now and the latest of which I went to a full turn past zero lash to try and get some quiter operation but the noise remains which leads me to beilieve that it has nothing to do with lifters or preload but they are awfully noisy! If it is in fact the rockers (which I don't know what else it could be) is there a quieter full roller out there or do they all make some noise?

no I am running the guideplates that came with my heads but they seem to be aligned well but I never really investigated the contact other than for pushrod length.
