No it doesn't, especially just the 100 shot he would need.

For a dd you don't need a whole lot, some good rear shocks, LCAs and brackets and maybe a torque arm. Id quit focusing on that number and just focus on what you want. You want a dyno queen for a dd, not a good combo

I would have to say that in your experience with LE2/CC306 on what I am assuming was stock cubes than that would not be a very street friendly motor anyhow just looking at it on paper. That 306 cam likes some rpm as long as you have enough head to support it but I am sure if you would have gone with either a smaller cam on 350/355 or had it been a 383 it would have been very streetable. The rpms you were spinning around town though seem more indicative of a loose stall than a poorly spec'd motor IMO
Yeah, but upgrading to a 383 is considerably more labor intensive compared to slapping on a supercharger kit, IMO. As for the longevity of FI on the stock bottom end, I've seen some last, and some not. Same could be said of building a 383, especially if the builder is somewhat dubious. I've seen people go through some debacles with engine builders.

Yep, you're right on most accounts on my combo, 350 cubes with ARP rod bolts spinning 6900 rpm. Unfortunately there weren't many nice choices back in 04 for cams, so I grabbed the 306 and made it work. I originally had a 3200 Vig, but it wasn't big enough and sent it back to get retooled and when it came back it flashed 5000. It managed to pull off 11.40's in nice air. And for it being street friendly, I daily drove that combo for 4 years while in college.

Well dyno queen to me means the only time ill actually Rev high would be at a dyno. Or highway. I just want something that can put Ppl back on their seat. and can take off quickly that's all. I guess ill just order an AI forged 383 kit and go with a set of their tfs 200cc heads cam and intake.

definitely talk to them or Lloyd Elliot. A lot of people get hung up with dyno numbers with these cars, but even though they are making a lot of power they are slow as hell. Example in GM High Tech there is a procharged LS1 making i believe it was 520/480. it ran 11.9 in the 1/4. meanwhile cars on here making under 400rwhp are mid 11s. A 383 will get you what you want, just set it up right along with the rest of the car and you will be happy. as i said, dont get too hung up on numbers.

Yea ur right. Numbers are numbers, I should know I beat an svt lighting and I know my car has less hp/tq . I bet ill be happy with ai /le stuff if not a 150shot will help. And a handling package from bmr better help me hook lol. Another question ive been researching rear ends and I get a lot of mix match opinions, which is a better rear end in my case Dana s60, strange 12 bolt, moser 12 bolt, Ford 9"?

Ive been looking into this and because yours is a DD id say a 12 bolt will be more than fine, but if a 9 inch isnt a lot more go with that.

No such thing as just "slapping on a supercharger kit" and it successfully working with longevity in mind with the stock short block. None whatsoever. Statistically there have not been remotely close to the amount of failures with N/A stroked applications as there have been with FI/stock block engines regardless of how dubious the builder is.

Then you have way better engine builders in your neck of the woods. I went out of state to get my current motor built, which is in progress. Out here, you're statistically wrong.

+1, you don't just slap on a blower and everything is ok. This isn't a 2010 where you can get everything done in a day and have it be running perfect

if you want a F/I setup to last you need to forge your bottom end which gets pricey as hell REALLY fast when added to the cost of the Supercharger, plumbing, installation, etc etc etc etc etc

Yes , it will handle a 150 shot. Just keep the fuel there.

A 383 specc'd out right can make 400 RWT at a much lower RPM.

If you had a 350 and a 383 with the same stuff (heads, cam, intake etc) the HP would be pretty much the same , with the 383 making peak a little earlier and then falling off. The torque curve on the other hand would be much fatter and more broad.

If youre having it built using a kit proven , then youre doing good, If al of the unknowns and concessions are done away with it will be fine, by concessions I mean doing this to take care of using this or that, but I am rambling...lol

Just make sure the kit you use has everything you are planning in consideration. The kit you mentioned from AI has the small chambers of LT1 heads in mind. Now make sure to get a cam and heads that are hand in hand with the compression of the shortblock as well.

You must also consider that the torque output you are considering is more than likely over the abilities of the stock injectors, intake system and exhaust system, as well as the drivetrain.
