94 lt1 Pontiac Trans Am, 97 engine swap need help.
We took the engine, wiring harness, computer etc. out of a 1997 lt1 ws6 trans am and put in in my 1994 Pontiac trans am. The engine cranks but we have no spark and no fuel pump power, is this because of the wiring harness difference between the 94 and the 97? I jump the fuel pump prime lead and get pressure and it is a brand new fuel pump. Is it the VATS module that is the problem? or the anti theft deterrent system/fuel enable system be causing the problem?
please help if u can i am stuck

One way to check is bypassing it:

Be aware that you may need to shift resistance ranges in ohms to k ohms to find your pellet value. A third hand is helpful while checking...

I think the pinouts between the two harness are different enough that your main trouble lies there. Check the connectors that go through the fire wall and get the wires there all where they should go and you should be fine. I know Shoebox's site has them on there for a 95 and a 96, but the colors should still be consitant. I know on all years the Fuel pump power wire through the firewall is grey. But look it all over to make sure.
I know a few years ago i put a 94 engine and harness into a 93, and it was a BIIIG difference, has to basicly rewire the plug ends, and add a few wires. The 94 to 97 should be a tad easier, but they are still probably different enough that it should be gone over thoroughly.

I can prime it by jumping the fuel pump prime lead. But down on the driver side kick panel were the fuel pump relay is, its a four prong relay and only one prong has power and im assuming its the fuel guage sender cause it works. should there be two prongs in that relay connection that should be getting power?
