so how much weight did you add to the rear in total?
There is approx. 250 lbs of ballast in the car including the weight box, weight bar, and all the hardware. The car weighed 3235 with me in it today (For the IHRA you have to weigh after every qualifying or winning pass in Stock). Minimum weight for B/FIA is 3095 lbs.

Are you gonna take weight out and run in a different class for the record, or are you gonna just stay in B/FIA? Awesome job on getting the record though! Just curious on how long it took you to put it all back together. I'm guessing 4 hours or so.

I decided to set the record because of all the gossip about my motor. I hope that this puts an end to it. We ran so heavy because we wanted to test at our "Shootout" weight. The goal was to keep the front end down with this motor. We set the record in "bracket mode". No ice or go-fast tricks, so that we have room to reset it next year with the white car.

The tech guys started at 9:00 AM. We were given the OK to put it back together around 10:30. Gump was driven up to tech a little before 12:30 to be sealed. We made our first pass a little after 1:00 PM. The first pass was 6.847. The air was right around 3600 ft.

Imagine what that the Gump would have run with some good air in it! Yikes! Lots of room to lower the record in the fall.

Do your best. It wouldn't be the same without AC-Knock-Rod. This could be the year that you get that GMHTP photo shoot.

I am planning to run a TH-350 this year. I have an ATI MRT 8" that works pretty well. It stalls at approx. 5200 rpm behind my LT1.

I'm still waiting on my good tires to show up too. I have two sets of Radials on back order!
