Default Break in oil/trans fluid question

My motor goes soon along with the trans soon and I need to know that you guys recommend for fluids. I know for the oil I need high zinc content, and for the trans I need non synthetic. Any input on what to use is appreciated

Me personally dont buy into that gimmick of having to use different oils for break-in. I am using mobil5000 to break in my new motor and im not breaking a sweat over it. Use whatever you want, but thats my .02cents

I'm not going to go against common knowledge, you don't break in with synthetic

I know you dont break in with synthetic oil. Mobil5000 isnt synthetic.

i've never used anything but rotella oil on break in.. they say on roller engines it doesnt matter as much, but i will stick with what i know.. i know some hardcore dragracers that are using brad penn oil and they like it...

ive only ran a couple new rebuilt trans, a th400 and th350... Coastal trans fluid all the way..

Chevron DELO 400 for the engine, and cheapo trans fluid for the tranny.

After breakin, switch to the oil of your choice.

I would start out with a non syn 10-30 I like Lucas oil, Change it after 100 miles. Then run it for 500 miles and change again.

Trans I just use NAPA Dex III change after 1000 miles.

Thats what I did with my new set up Motor has 1400 miles on it and I run Lucas 10-40 in it now
