cost to change intake manifold gasket?
#64
EGR uses recycled exhaust gas to prevent the formation of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) at high combustion chamber temps, so you might have a bit of difficulty there. If you are that concerned about the tube, you can always bend it up away from the block and/or wrap it in a heat-resistant material (like header wrap, etc.).

It could also be your oil pressure sensor since yours is a 95 its located right behind the intake manifold. Other than that its prob your intake manifold.

ok i just discovered something. it may not actually be the intake manfiod gasket afterall. i just felt my hand around the OSU and while it doesn't feel like the OSU itself is leaking, i felt fresh oil around where the metal piece the OSU is connected to the block at.

yeah i meant this thing on the back of the block. incidently, i replaced it AFTER all the gaskets were changed 2 years ago because the oil pressure was kind of low. it was originally replaced when the original one broke during a trans rebuild in 2007 and the replacement one showed lower oil pressure at idle. I replaced that one with one from autozone and that one didn't work at all and i ended up putting the one the trans shop bought back in. i don't think i used any new tape on the threads when i put it back in so it is possible that is where it's leaking from. what would i use to seal up the threads.

well i took the OPSU off and put some plumbers tape on it and put it back on. there was no tape or sealant on the threads at all but there also wasn't much oil on the unit so i don't know if that was the problem or not.
here's a pic of the OPSU after i took it off.

well i guess it's not leaking out the threads for the OPSU.
this spot on the driveway was after i pulled the car out of the garage and it sat there idling for maybe 2 minutes and then off for a minute or 2 before i moved it. that seems like a lot of oil for only being there for a couple minutes? the second pic is just to give you an idea of the surrounding area to get an idea of the size of the spot. There was quite a bit more than that in the garage where it sat overnight after i moved the car.
