If you can get that tool in the picture to work on patriot golds or heavier dual springs, then kudos to you, because I couldn't.

As far as the Crane tool, the pic in Jegs is wrong. That pic is of the LS1 version. The SBC/LT1 version slides over your rocker studs and is held down with nuts on the studs. It is, however, made to work with 3/8 studs, so if you're running 7/16 studs you simply remove them and throw in a pair of 3/8 studs temporarily. Small price to pay for how much the Crane tool speeds things up. I own a pair of 3/8 studs for this reason.

Impossible. I couldn't = impossible. I would need video proof to see it work and believe it.

I built a tim's tool for $1 (with my brothers $7 lever style compressor handle cut in half.)
