I think what frustrated me the most was the acc bracket. It was greasy from oil leaks and hard to maneuver out of the way.

well this is a perfect time to clean it all up.....pull the bracket clean it an paint it!!!

If the warter pump is serculating and my car Is still running hott is it the head gasket but there is no water in the oil ???

If it's just running hot it's probably something as simple as the thermostat

If its your first time taking it apart, i would definitly take pictures and make sure to label everything. Im awaiting funds to buy a steam pipe cause my banjo bolt threads were causing a leak, then i will see where im at and if i successfully completed the headgasket swap. If i can do it, you can do it too, just take your time and do your research.. Thanks to everyone on here to for the help

How many of u guys have had the exhuast manifold bolts snap off in the heads? I hear it is a common problem...mine have not been off since '93'.

This was caused by a blown head gasket.



Basically $500 later the head was good as new.



Basically, welded head, one new valve, one new seat, one new guide, milled .013 to clean it up after it was welded.

Hopefully yours will not be that bad. Mine was not leaking water it was blown between #2 and #4 exhaust. Sounded like a huge miss!

Block checked out fine, just removed some of the Aluminum that was on it.

When I blew my head gasket, I rebuilt my motor.
