Default so i found out y my new motor wont start

you cant use a harness from a 96-97 in a 94.. Does anyone have a 94 m6 harness??? i need one

Thatll do it lol OBD 1 vs 2.. no good.. try posting up in the parts classified section. see if you have any luck getting something there.

R u using a 94pcm? You can change the pcm to a 96 if you want. Im sure that will be much easier then a harness

Its not the PCM that is his problem. If the wiring is correct you can run either pcm and the only change needed is the knock sensor. There are 5 connectors that connect the engine harness to the body and dash but the 94 has one less connector. Use this link to compare the connectors and move the wires around to match your 96 engine harness to the 94 body/dash harness http://www.shbox.com/1/harness_connector_faces.htm

give hawks third gen in easley S.C a call, man they have everything that you will need, i got a 95 M6 harness from em, and the prices aren't too bad

I have a Comp for a 97 in the garage, i Took it out of my Z28 and put in an OBD1 system. But have heard that there are more things you get to control with 1 and not OBD2

man swapping harness's is a breeze.. im using a 95 pcm.. in a 94 car.. im aware of the wiring differences between the two but didnt realize that the connectors that come into the car are different.. thats where i believe my problem is.. the vats on the 96-97 cars is in the bcm.. 95, 94, 93 its a seperate module..

Yeah I would prefer to use a 94 pcm for ease of tuning and cheaper tuning software
