In what ways is the auto more fun?

Also, any recommendations on what size stall with 4.10's.. I was thinking Yank SS3600... Too much?

I'm running a 2800 stall with 410s and get no traction at all. A 3600 would be great but you'll need good suspension and tires to hook. I don't get traction till the end of second going into third gear.

Well its a TH350 and prob manual valve body so you still shift just no clutch....and if you have ever driven a stalled car you would know how good it feels to flash the converter.....i prefer the way a stalled auto feels over a 6 speed car any day...

Yea I think the SS3600 would be a good stall to go with.... However I would give them a call and give them the rundown of the car and they will let you know for sure...those guys know their stuff...

I am going today around 4 today to check out the car and if all goes well for The other owner and I, then I will have a different car by the end of the day.

I'll do my best to remember to take pics of them together.

Can someone explain, "Flashing" the converter?

So flashing it is just mashing the gas from a stop?

I had a 1998 Ranger 2.5 4 cylinder 5 speed (terrible I know) But, now I have a 3.0 auto Mazda B3000 and even though it's faster. I still miss the fun of rowing gears. I know this is about Firebird's but still. In my opinion I'd say keep your car. You'll miss it once it's gone, 6 speeds are much harder to find. I don't think you'll ever be racing it full time. So I'd keep your car.

True. But i've had auto performance cars and stick shift cars (SRT4, and the Firebird)... Stick shifts are fun but i dont mind auto.

When i traded my bike for my trans am, ill never forget the ride back home. I had ridin out there twice already, was like an hour away all highway (thats why bikes fly on the highway, just to get the boredom over with lol). But yea, sittin back, t-tops off, Not knowing the car was a few millimeters of wire insulation away from burning to the ground, not knowing the FPR wasnt regulating anything at all, Knocking noise from the rear end cuz the wheel was ready to fall off. but man it felt great to sit in an fbody and NOT HAVE TO SHIFT!

Tip in life #9 - If you are trading a car for a bike, make the guy with the bike ride as far away as you can from his house. That way he probably wont want to ride back!

Cant wait to see pics man!
