Default Trading a 96 Formula for a 96 formula? opinions?

Hey all,

I have a 96 Formula, it has 160,xxx miles and a T56. Has 5% tinted windows, gmmg catback with manual cut out, k&n cai, Hurst short throw shifter. It also has 18" C6 Z06 Replicas.

I have a guy will to trade me straight up with no cash added.

He has a 96 formula. A4 with 127,xxx (4.10 gears not recalibrated so a little less.). Mods are Pacesetter LT's, ORY, Magnaflow catback , CAI, 4.10 gears, tinted windows, all loghts tinted, carbon fiber 98-02 WS6 ram air good. Car is murdered out.

I think its a good deal. I'm just worried I'm gonna miss my M6. I figured if I stall it I'd be happy.

Let me know what you think I should do

almost 30k miles would be a point to be made but when people want to TRADE there stuff 9/10 theres a reason the car could be a turd you never know but if your ready to eat that gas bill on a 4.10 A4 car then go right ahead :p

well yea the mileage is a good thing. but i think a 6 speed car is alot of fun to drive compared to an auto IMO. i am not one to go to the track alot so there is no need for me to have a stalled auto or anything like that

But it does like your getting the better end of the stick......................maybe. I love my auto on the road man half the people that mess with you on the road start messing up and you just leave them in the dust the shift kit gives me enough feel of a stick car with out the hassle and getting to get in my car and just go

Exactly. The mileage is a big factor. Plus I heard 10 bolts last a little while longer with A4 rather than M6.

I don't think his Car is a turd, he is getting rid of it for a M6 that's why he's getting rid of it.

I heard autos with a 3600 stall are bad ***?

Plus if I trade then I can save the money I was gonna use on exhaust (LT's and ory) and gears... And go straight for stall convertor and LE custom grind with supporting valvetrain

Mileage doesn't mean **** unless you know how it was cared for. There is absolutely no rule that says a 127k car will last longer than a 160k car.

Well that's true. I do know all his work has been done by MD SPEED. Professional work with receipts is a big plus. So +1 if I should trade. -1 if I shouldn't. Sorry should have made a poll

you will kick yourself every day if you trade for an Auto car. And no one else will be dumb enough to trade your auto car for a 6-speed car again

What do you mean? Are asking bout the transmission having work done or the overall car mod wise?

Haven't seen his car yet. If rate my exterior I'd say 8 , interior 8 aside from rip in the seat.

I could buy an LT1 for a pretty low price if i missed my M6. But I used to drive a stalled c4 tran with a ratchet shifter, I enjoyed it.
