hell yeah! nice work.

I wonder why you picked up almost 2 mph from before? Think it was going from a slick to a radial?

It's definitely a combination of suspension, tire, and weather. Prior to today's runs I was 60' in the 1.55 range, so dropping a full tenth in the 60' helped.

Thanks everyone!

Wow! very impressive! I need to copy your suspension setup for sure!

The only thing better than a fast Camaro is a Fast Trans Am!!!

Sounds like a well setup combo and the results speak for themselves. Well done. Looks like 10's were pretty drama free based on the runs.

Congrats man.. Ive seen you sitting on that 11.04 for a while now been waiting for ya to kick that door down.

I wanted to get some cold weather runs to try and improve my best but, my trans started slipping at the shootout I guess I will have to wait till spring.

Yeah, I backed each pass up within .05 sec of eachother - no bones about it!

You'll get it running right for sure. I always loved your car. Hopefully I'll get out to the shootout.

two things i noticed in the vid. 1. what rpms are u launching at? kinda seems like u could hit it a lil harder off the line. and 2. is ur converter locking up b4 the 1/4 mile? from the sound it sounds like it. either way its nastyyyy

Joe, I've always admired your car and if I planned on keeping my LT1 forever, I'd likely do a similar setup. Your car is doing everything right and running some killer times for a NA, HR, street-driven, built 4l60e car

Great job!

Rick says the same thing, although in the car it doesn't feel like it. I'll have to do a datalog on a run and see what's going on. It's kind of loud at 124mph, but right now I'm not too worried about it. The converter likes the 2000rpm launch limit. Any higher and it bogs a bit. Any lower and it doesn't hit as hard, so the 2k is where I've had the best luck.

hmmm interesting. i remember my bolt on car the ss3600 was locking up at 100mph and it was losing me 3 or 4mph and a tenth or two. and it sounded just like that on the top end.

isnt it strange how some converters like low rpm launches and others like high rpm launches? lol it boggles my mind

I bet theres a 10.50 in it with a preped track and some more suspension tuning.

Oh man, I don't know about that. I had a chassis guy review the videos and he said I shouldn't change a thing (that I can adjust). I'm not going to milk it for any more...she's been good to me.

If I change ANYTHING I'll opt for a higher stall and some adjustable LCAs to re-center the wheels in the wheel wells, but that's it. Thanks for the optimism though!
