Default Was looking for a name of this mod to a lt1 air filter help??

i was wundering what this kind of filter this was called cuz i know ram air , is a box type with a square filter n cold air intake is in the side of the car, but i was wundering what this kind was called, its sorta ram air, but then kinda not, and i also was wundering if i did this wud it improve HP, and would i need a new hood? cuz i have stock hood(ill put up pic).

Dont bother with it, Since you wouldnt be using the maf with that filter you would need a different tune. Just stick to a normal cold air intake.

if you have a '93 or a speed density tune, you could run a filter off the tb like that

K&N either 5000 or 5050. Both will fit without rubbing your factory hood and I'd suggest the 5050 so there's enough room on the back side to make a hole for your IAT sensor

IMO that would hinder any gains on HP due to it sucking hott *** no OXY hav'n air LS1 lid mod w/core support murder FTW

That is called the HAI or Hot Air Intake.

that style intake is taken from the impalas, its made by clear image. however theirs has a heat shield and retains the MAF. get a normal CAI or do the lid conversion

forget the intake, thats a L98 tpi motor with coil packs...very intresting!

looks like a s10 swap?
