I run that oil to keep the oil press up where it should be 25ish idle and 60 @ 8000............I built the motor clearanced loosely to keep a high volume of oil circulating through the bottom end and keep bearing temps down a bit as well......i know thats an old school frame of mind but it could have something to do with why my bearings look so good too .......i'm putting the Titan oil pump in it this go around with some other oil mod's hopefully i can still move the oil and have it drain back properly and maybe run a 15w40....we'll see.....

Loose is fast enough if you don't have a lot of money for low tension rings, vacuum pumps, coated everything, etc........................

used to use M1 10w30, now that my motor is tightened up I switched to 5w30. I want to switch away from M1 but haven't figured out what to yet. the german castrol is really good but idk about running 0w30...
long time no see! didn't u make a thread about oil and how you get UOA's all the time?

What kinda clearances you got in that thing? Cuz mine is pretty loose and I'm seeing that sort of oil pressure HOT off the freeway at 3500+ rpm and I've got 10w30 in it... Makes me feel like running 0w30 in it now
