Ok I finally put on the upper and lower A-arms. Took the car to the chassis shop and had a race alignment done and the car corner balanced.

Short block should be done early next week and I just ordered the new cam from Lloyd. Hopefully things will start happening pretty fast now.

^^ Where did you take it to get aligned? I know once I get all my front suspension stuff back on it will probably need one pretty bad...and what makes it a "race alignment", and what does corner balanced mean?

Sorry if these seem like stupid questions but I'm just trying to learn haha

TFworks in Arlington Heights did the work. Good guys and they did the front and rear alignment for 90 bucks, and its all tubular adjustable. They set the front suspension so when the car is accelerating in a straight line the front tires are straight up and down. Not recommended for a DD but since my car see little street time I set it up for drag racing. More info in the drag racing section if you do a search there.

Corner balance is getting the cars weight as even as possible on all 4 corners. Its tuf to do front to rear without rear coil overs. But they did get the car from about 125lbs heavier on the PS to 12lbs dif side to side. Im happy with that. Corner balance was 100 bucks

That cam is still just a little smaller than the one I'm running.

You should have waited a bit on the cam. The motor I bought has a cam in it that i'm not going to use. I would have sold it to you. I know the duration is 247/254 and it's on a 112, iirc the lift is .625 or.630, somewhere in there. Small base circle too. As soon as my new cam gets here, this little peanut stick is going up for grabs!

Collin, how is the new setup coming along I haven't heard anything lately ? I sent the converter out on my car hoping you will have to run me down with that big cube SR monster.

Its getting closer. Been taking longer than it should because we've been working on our 3rd gen for Street Stock too. Should have the 392 up and running in the next couple of weeks though, its got a date with the tuner/dyno at the end of this month

its a "street cam" lol. Without changing the PCM going bigger wont make any difference. This should pull to 6800-7k.

Good to hear, but with your's and Ac's build I'm feeling a little down for this race with the finances not being there to make some changes to the car I wanted to this year.

Ac why dont you upgrade brakes to LS fronts at least? Stock lt1 brakes suck, and your going to be going fast.
