Default Good Tire?

Quick question. Is this brand of tire a good one: Comp T/A ZR, 245 /45ZR16, 7.4 Tread Width, 24.6 inch Diameter. How much should a single tire of that brand go for?

Thanks!
Steve

that is a very good tire. i have them on the back of my TA and they hook great in the rain. rubber blocks are a little big and tend to hydroplane just a tad in deep water but other than that they are great tires that are lasting very well so far.

Thanks for the responses guys. I might actually be getting some Toyo Proxes 4 if I can find the money. I read a bunch of reviews on them and they seem like a really great tire. Anybody know anything about these tires?

I have CompTA ZRs on my Z28 right now, good all weather tire, also fairly cheap. I also have a pair of CompTA Drag Radials in my garage, awesome tire if you want to hook IMO. All depends on what you want in a tire. Off the subject, you ever hit up any tracks around Indy? Just wondering, I go to Ball State, figured I might see you around this spring if you do.

I've got the Nitto NT450's on my car in the same size and they are a great tire. I got them for 92 bucks a piece shipped from www.discounttiredirect.com

My friend has Nitto drags on his his mustang, they hook pretty well.

CP30thLT1, I have been to IRP over the summer. This summer I plan on going a little bit more often. I really can't wait to head over there again, but I'd like to get new exhaust before I do. You go to IRP at all?

They are a nice tire. I got nearly 40k miles with them when I had them on my '93 Mustang GT.
