Even if you replace the bolts, if you spray a 150 or 200 shot like you have been talking about; you will be asking for disaster. They will break at that power level. Pick up some forged I beams for under 200 and call it a day. That will save you on machine work too, as the new rods wont need machining. Your already gonna need it balanced, forged rods will keep you from destroying your block and your crank.

Ill bring it up to Joe I mean like you said an extra 200 bucks at this point isn't worth stopping and destroying the rest of the motor. Got the other head off and the headers all the way out today. So this weekend I'm hoping to pull the motor and trans

Congrats Lawhead!
Wish I would have been able to build my car before selling it. My mom bought it off of me and now I'm saving for a C5/C6 and focusing on finishing college
I'd say invest with forged rods - Might as well build her bullet proof and do it once and do it right
I look forward to seeing how this turns out

Well like gregrob said you can get scats in that range. Honestly, I would buy cheap ebay KMJ rods and put good bolts in them than use stock rods. at that power level ANYTHING that is forged is better than stock powdered metal rods.
