Oops, you better check those part numbers, because they are not for an LT1.

o-rings are GM PART # 12553792 (need two)

GM PART # 9423592 long bolt (need 4) 3/8-16 x 4

GM PART # 9440073 short bolt (need 2) 3/8-16 x 2

Just go to a parts house and look at their assortment of o-rings in the tackle box. Find a pair of o-rings that allows the coupler to slip snug over but can still be easily removed. IMO, these o-rings are for vibration dampening and not really sealing of fluids. They will cost less than a dollar.

GM would likely want $10 for the original parts.

$1.30 list price for the GM o-ring.

What's wrong with the original bolts? I've had my w/p off and on a couple of times, over the years, for various maintenance "projects", and always used the OE bolts (with a dab of teflon thread sealer, of course)

bs 17 dollars a piece for the water pump bolts. Wth ima go to autozone or use the same ones that are in the water pump.
Do you think if I use the same water pump bolts it will be ok?

If you want to, you can put one of the o-rings on the back of the water pump drive "stub", and the other on the drive "stub" that passes through the front cover of the engine.

If somebody snapped a 3/8" bolt by removing it, either it was way too tight, or the guy was a klutz. IIRC, the torque spec for those bolts is 33 ft/lbs.

Yes and clean and grease the inside of the coupler.

Thread sealant? Permatex high temp. Comes in a little tube you can get at most any auto parts place.

You only need sealant on the bottom two bolts. Just FYI...
