haha 20 hour drive and beating on my car all weekend, i just dont trust it. i like the security of having a trailer on a long trip like that

Mine shift selector says 1...2...3...D...

it always goes into OD when I race or roll race, How do I keep it from going into OD on the street

Where's your redline? If you are shifting at 6500 you'll need to hit 120mph in the 1/4 which won't happen without nitrous.

Leave it in D. unless you are shifting below 6200rpm.. which with those mods you shouldn't be anyway.

dude whether you do the 3600 or the 3200 stall it will still run pretty similar and be just as fun on the street. Just read this whole thread. Wow. For sure wait and get the 1.7rr's, your going to want the extra 10-12hp they will provide.

Not 100% on the lift the hotcam will be with 1.7r's but it should be close to 550 which will be fun and be a solid 12 sec ride.

Read the whole thread... DAMN!!!

Is a 3K too small, Yank sells them for $550 versus 3200 or 3600 for $725...

Eh, Still dont wanna buy another set of springs... LOL

3k might be pushing it. I dont drive a a4 tho, so i wouldnt be the one make the final call on that. Only drove a few buddies cars.

BUY the ****** springs, you ll be happy you did. lol cheapass

Oh my god dude. Every Stalled A4 in here is telling you 3600 and you start questioning it when a manual driver pops in and says something about it?

Get a 2400 stall and 1.5 rockers and be done with it.

Hell yeah I'm cheap..... I'm broke just bought wheels, tires, tune, etc...

Give me part numbers on good springs and rockers and ill see lol

My buddies running 11.20s on 4.10s and he traps at about 6k at 120 something. You should be good to go.

We are talking a 26" tire in the OP's case. I guess it all depends how high he deciedes to spin the motor

If you are spinning to only 6k on a hotcam, you are short shifting and you are limited to 112mph on stock tire diameter.

If you are actually shifting at 6300 you have 117mph on stock tire diameter.

Both will be fine for a cam only car. But if you DO spray it won't be enough really for either depending on the shot.

If you get 28" DRs or slicks then you should be good with the 6300 shift point.

With the hotcam you SHOULD increase your shift points to around 6300.
