GAS!! epic fail
Okay, well i went to a chevron gas station the other day...and got 20 liters of 87 with techron for the trans am(stored atm but run it once or twice a week) and i filled up my audi s6 twin turbo with the same gas...and 4 days later(today) it wont start and i can t work on it because it's too cold. so i sent it to a local european pecialist and he said it was the gas...but guess who poured the same gas in the trans am...so im just asking if you guys have had the same issue with your guy's lt1?. i havent ran it yet but i will tomorrow. so im just asking if it has happened to you guys??..

Manufacturer recommends 91 or better...I always go for the 93 octane.
The compression ratio in the motor is a bit high for 87 octane fuel.
And you're putting 87 octane fuel in a twin turbo Audi? Sounds like you don't know much about octane needs. I'd drain them both and go back for higher octane fuel.

Really doubt that is your issue. The octane reading on the pump is the minimum rating allowed from that pump although it's not likely you are getting 91 you're over the 87 minimum.
Now bad gas is a possibility too much condensation in it is a possibility. I'd toss in a bottle of Heet to try and eat some moisture out of it. Cheap try anyways

no i am not a woman. My dad told me to put 87 into the trans am and into the audi. and every time i say anything he just gets super pissy i was with him and he told me to put that fuel into the audi and hes always put 87 in the trans am, he drove it for a year before i got my license and ive had the car for about 4 years now..=S ive always out shell 91 octane into the trans am when i drive it but when he drives it he goes to some **** gas station that 5cents cheaper than all the other ones....well the car did start and it ran fine...but the audi needs the whole fuel system flushed out...and hes the one that told me to put the 87 in it..=S

yea just always put higher octane in and sometimes the mom and pop gas stations dont put the right gas in. i always use the big chains like shell or sunoco.

Everyone needs to relax on the fuel grade, car companys take steps to make sure that when exactly this happens the car still runs. octane booster is not gonna help. If you need to drain the tank. Disconnect the fuel lines and run the pump till its out of gas. I cant walk you through what wire to supply with 12v cuz i dont know

The T/A will be fine just put some 93 in it (or 94) whatever they got and never put anything lower in it. No need to drain it. If its not full I would go ahead and put a little 93 in it now. I dont know if I believe the gas is whats causing the audi to not even start if the T/A is running fine. That doesnt sound right but putting 87 in a twin turbo car is just asking for trouble. You need to tell your Dad to do some learnin.

The trans am will run perfectly fine on 87. You will get more KR, but there's enough timing to pull that it shouldn't be too crazy.
I wouldn't get on it much if at all, and I wouldn't do it myself.
Not running is not because of octane.

Did you go wot or close in the audi? If not then it's not the gas. If you stay off the pedal 87 is perfectly fine unless that tune is on the absolute ragged edge... which it sounds like it's not.

use the pump with hose and pump much gas out u can into another gas can. then fill it up with 93 + , if your dad get mad, kick him in the ball. and tell him shut the hell up.

i have never ran the audi at wot. ever but i think it was just shitty gas in general. i mean the audi has run awesome up until now...and i hope it just needs everything drained...cuz theres no way im gunna pay to get it fixed until later.
