Ok sorry for the delay its been cold as **** outside.

Heres a pic in the bore and you can see its not exactly perfect.

Iv searched around alot on the gap and iv heard some people using these rings are doing a .020 top and a .022 bottom just to be safe, any thoughts on that?

I was going to do a .018 top and a .020 bottom.

they are the sealed power rings notthing special on a 30 over bore.

Is it me or is that ring chipped on the right side of the gap? And u should get rid of all burs before installing them on the pistons. As for what end gap, check what the piston manufacturer recommends. Last motor I put together I had to put in a call to weisco to get their gap recommendation for the amount of boost we planned to run. They built the pistons for a certain amount so i'd follow what they say personally.

I don't think its chipped, and i will make sure theres no burs when i put them on the pistons.

I figured out what i was doing wrong to make the ring above turn out the way it did. Now that i have cut the others square I can finnish them all up, How ever i still need to know if i need to replace the one pictured. I think so but im also not 100% sure.

If it doesn't cost an arm and a leg get a new one and file it again. The way it's done there are two gaps, one on the wall and one in the inboard side. I've always made sure they were as uniform as possible.
